Life is funny

So I have been very addicted to reading blogs but not so much on keeping up with mine, it seems rather rude to me. I read about someone else's world but don't let anyone in to mine.

I did find humor in the fact that I just signed in to my account and saw that of the 4 blogs I tagged on here that I follow, 3 of which were always updated, no one really has been doing theres either! Actually I must give props to my sister who apparently updated hers 4 days ago, that is AMAZING (love you if you are reading this!!)

Well life has been going fast, what we've been up to I can't pinpoint other than loving where we are and enjoying our precious family every minute of every day.

I will try to be better at blogging, I will think about what to say, but for now I have got to go be MOM!!

life as I know it...

I have decided that life as I know it has changed. I have also realized how great this change is! If you have remotely kept up with me through this blog (which has been left alone far far too long) then you have a clue as to what my last year has been like.

Today we woke up to a BEAUTIFUL snow. It was forecasted to ice/sleet first then snow, but we, here in Enid, lucked out and got only snow which didn't start until about 4pm yesterday and is still going (it's 2:30p)! It is absolutely beautiful! There are many people in Oklahoma who would rather not have the snow, I on the other hand, LOVE IT! I almost wish I could live in Wyoming. Have you ever been? If so, you know what I am talking about, if not, you MUST go in your lifetime! However, a wise man (my husband) is always quick to point out to me how I love the summer, spring and fall too and that living in Oklahoma gives me the perfect mix. He is so right!

If you live in OK, you know that we were fortunate enough to have a beautiful snow fall on Christmas Eve this past year, well beautiful in Enid, OKC & Tulsa probably don't agree, they had up to 2 feet and in some places more with the snow drifts, it was a bit crazy, even for my taste! For me, that snow was so peaceful and wonderful on such a great occasion, but with preparing for Christmas and all that goes with it, I didn't get to enjoy it as much as I would have liked, so todays snow day was welcomed by me!

Today as Cassidy and I were out in the snow playing, sledding and making snow angels, I took a moment, teared up and thanked the lord that I have been so blessed with my life. I am in no way saying that my life is perfect or has always been easy. I am just thankful for the punches it has thrown me which have taken me on the path to which I travel. It is more than I could have hoped for!

If you are reading this and wonder what your life is about, I challenge you, if there is snow on the ground or the next time you get snow, put some warm clothes on, go outside, lay down and make a snow angel! Love every minute of it, then get up and take a look at your creation, I promise, it will be beautiful! (p.s. I don't care how old you are, it will make an impact on you, just do it!)

Now, I am off to get bundled again and outside we go (then in for more hot chocolate!) :-)
